At Shine Auto Parts WA (SAP), we understand you have many queries regarding our line of business and about our services. Please refer some frequently asked questions we deal with, and these may will help you to understand a fraction of our business.

Do you accept parts in exchange?

  1. Our exchange policy consists of bringing in your old, faulty part in exchange for the part we are providing for you.
  2. Upon exchange, we offer a 20-30% discount on the part you are purchasing
    This offer only applies to a selected range of parts in our yard. This will mostly include engines and gearboxes.
  3. All exchange items provided do not need to be in working condition however, they must be supplied to us with no missing mechanisms.

What is your Return and Refund Policy?

  1. Parts that are returned must be in their original condition as per purchase. If there are parts missing from the mechanism, no refund will be given and the return will not be accepted. For example; if an engine is purchased and is not working, it must be returned with all wiring and mechanisms.
  2. All correctly supplied parts that are returned in the operational order it was supplied as will have a 20% restocking fee to cover the cost of labour of the mechanics.
  3. We supply electrical items however, there will be no warranty on these items.
  4. If faulty items are supplied from our behalf, the item must be returned within 14 days of purchase.
  5. A 30-day warranty is offered on auto transmissions.
  6. A 3-month warranty is given to parts installed and purchased by a mechanic.
  7. If we supply a part with a warranty, it will be classed as void if the part is bought for a specific reason other than what the part was originally intended for, or if the part is fixed into a commercial vehicle.
  8. Upon return, a receipt must be provided at the counter.

Engine Return Policy: Engines are sold with 3 months parts only warranty, accessories left on the motor are for testing purposes only and these are not covered by any warranty conditions. External main (front and rear) crankshaft seals, camshaft seals, timing belt and oil cooler must be changed to validate the warranty. The radiator must be serviced or replaced if required and a new water pump and thermostat must be fitted. Engine accessories, eg. fuel system and electrical are not covered by engine warranty. Heat tabs have been fitted to this engine for warranty purposes, if removed or melted in any way this may void the warranty.
